Vocab Lesson Gone Wrong

“What do you think it means to be organized?” I asked my class after reading a sentence with the word.

A child excitedly raised his hand so I called and him. He shouts, “Someone who collects organs!!”

“What?”

“You know, like livers and hearts and stuff.”

“No.” I start to use children in the class as an example. I point out how nice their things look and say they are organized.

“I’m not organized! That’s gross!!”

“I don’t want to be organized!”

You win some. You lose some. I definitely lost. 1 more day till Spring Break.

  1. Oh my gosh…I so think you won! I will not be able to think of the word organized the same way again. Good luck with your last day before break!
